MY STORY
I was born in Milan in 1963. I immediately began drawing and telling unlikely stories.
At eleven, I began sailing, discovering a lifelong passion and a natural aptitude.
At sixteen, I began collaborating with sailing magazines, first as a journalist, then as an illustrator, and finally as a comic book author, before the term "graphic novel" had even been coined.
I've sailed on hundreds of boats with hundreds of sailors, from mediocre to very talented, who taught me everything. I lived in the city, worked in communications, and sailed in my spare time. In 2015, I moved to Lerici and devoted myself full-time to drawing and sailing. In 2022, I was invited to teach a comic book lesson at the "Save the Children" "Punto Luce" in Ostia. I got along well with the kids, who, in turn, appreciated it. I proposed to Save the Children to continue, and they accepted, creating a network of contacts with their organizations on the Italian coast, which I reached by sailing in my old sailboat.
Thus was born the "Sail the Children" program, which later became "Sailors for Kids," which has brought many young people to experience the sea, the arts, new horizons, and new languages.
